We went to Ikea tonight to grab some stuff for the place. Ended up getting a bunch of small things and 2 side tables for the bedroom. I like them. Nat insisted on putting them together. I wasn’t allowed to help… or watch as she put them together. It’s about 1am right now and she’s doing the 2nd one. Theres lots of hammering and banging, haha.

This Solarium is very quiet when you shut the doors.

Thanks again mom for the Ikea gift card you gave Nat! And Sheena also for mine. We will have to head back at some point when we figure out the plan for bookcases we will eventually need.

Evil Dead-The Musical

We went to Evil Dead- The Musical last Thursday night at the Vogue Theatre on Granville. It was really good. The first 5 rows are called the Splatter Zone. All the seats are coered in plastic and they hand out plastic ponchos if you want one. We all decided against it since we were in row 3.

After the intermission the carnage started. Fake blood sprayed from the stage with every blow. Blood sprayed from the roof through pipes when the chainsaw started hacking up Zombies. Everyone got covered with blood but I had it worse than anyone we saw. I was sitting right under one of the blood nozzles in the roof. So it would blast out and when it closed it continued to drip on me.

Afterwards we all went for some food and drinks. Got some funny looks.

Housing Glitch

So theres been a glitch in our plan to move.

I’m good to go whenever. I’m month to month and just need to give our manager a month notice (Unless Mike is gona et someone to move in). Nat’s building manager is being a prick and saying she owes until Jan. 31. Which is when her lease is up so it makes sense but I have never known anyone to do that. If you break a lease you lose your damage deposit and move on. This idiot is just lazy because his mom owns the apartment and he doesn’t want to do the work of renting it out.

Also, theres basically gonna be a 3 month window because of the Olympics. Places will be rented from Jan.1 to Mar. 1. which means we won’t even be able to really get anything until April 1st. Even if we can get out Jan 31 it will be a pain driving around or getting a moving truck anywhere.

So the goal is I will move out Dec. 1st and move into a new place so it’s pre-Olympics and Nat will slowly move in over Dec and Jan and then be fully out by jan 31. But thats not final yet either. We havn’t decided because it’s a lot of money we’d be out either way.

I don’t know. Stupid Olympics.

Season 5

So the show had it’s season premiere last night (Thursday). It opened to almost 4 million viewers. So thats pretty good.

- Also, a little news snipet for you:

Yes, if you haven’t already heard … it’s true Paris has already filmed her cameo in Vancouver for the CW show. She will be appearing in episode 5 of the season. It was formerly called “Celebrity Skin” but went through a title change and is currently being titled “Fallen Idols.”

She will be playing a shapeshifter that takes on the form of, yeah, you guessed it, Paris Hilton. So, in essence she is playing herself but as a creature playing her … make sense? Just mull it over a bit if it doesn’t.”

It actually made headlines in Australia because the shows HUGE down under.

I forgot to write this down, the other weekend we went to lunch with Nats mom, grandma, aunt, sister and her husband. We took the water taxi over to Granville island and wandered around for a bit then grabbed some lunch. On the walk back to the water taxi I was walking behind with her mom and grandma, and funny enough we were talking about lotto tickets for some reason… and her mom got pooped on! Haha it was kinda funny, but I felt bad. It was a heavy one. All down her shirt and in her hair.

Good times.

Then yesterday we went for lunch with Nats brother and his husband. I think they liked me, so I passed. They actually had questions written down on a piece of paper, haha.

Happy Canada Day

Getting some work done tonight.

Nat and I walked all the way down to Canada Place this afternoon… loaded with peole and families and idiots with face paint… to see the new Undersea 3D IMAX movie…

We get down there and theres a note on the door saying the evening shows have been cancelled!

Weak.
